When my husband was transferred by the company he works for to Los Angeles, California, I was not sure that was a place I wanted to raise my children. I had heard so much about the crime in Los Angeles that I was really afraid. But coming from a small town where you knew everyone and there was never any crime, you could understand my concern. So the first thing that I had my husband do after we moved into our house was to contact Los Angeles home security systems so that we could get a security system that I would feel safe with. It was a big change for me to move to such a big city, but I think I am finally getting the hang of it. The neighbors we have met in our neighborhood all have small children like we do, and I feel like we are our own little community in the middle of such a big place. I don’t really know why I was so concerned, but I am beginning to feel more like this is home now than where we lived before.
